Every Day Deserves a Chance
by Max Lucado (248.4 Luc)
Review by Suzanne Williams
Each day we start with a clean slate. In this devotional book, Lucado urges the reader to accept
God’s grace and promises, and allow God to be our guide each day. As he quotes scripture to
support his advice, he also gives specific examples of people who have applied the scriptures to
their lives. This is a quick read, but gives the reader an uplifting way to start the day.
Hagar
by Lois Henderson (Fic Hen)
Review by Suzanne Williams
The story of Abraham, Sarah, and Hagar is familiar to us. The author takes facts and characters
from the Biblical account and creates a fictional narrative which explores the challenges each
person faces and how God’s plan for him/her unfolds.
