Communications for You
Fairfield Glade United Methodist Church
The church office has been aware of the need to communicate with you about what is happening, as it
happens, at your church and is in the process of finding new ways to accomplish this.

Phone Tree
The first of these communication tools is the Phone Tree.  This is an automated phone system that allows the
church office to telephone each member to let them know about the death of a member, funeral service
arrangements or cancellation of worship, or some other event, because of inclement weather.  Because it
takes approximately 1.5 hours to call everyone, in the event of a cancellation, calls will start 2 hours before the
service or event time.

Here is a review of how Phone Tree works.  The message will start with "This is Fairfield Glade United
Methodist church Phone Tree" and then the message will play.  If you are listening live and do not understand
the message, you may press * to hear it again.  Of course, you may listen to a message on your answering
machine as often as you like also.  If you encounter problems receiving messages, please let the church office
know so that they can correct them.

Email
We are also beginning to use Email to communicate with you.  This is another tool we can use to let you know
of deaths, funerals and cancellations of services and events.  The E-Connection will be sent to you mid-month
to report news at that time. This will offset the monthly publication, the Connection.  At some time, we will begin
putting pictures of new members in the newsletter as well as more articles about the specific functions of the
various groups and committees in the church.
