FFGUMC Crafters for Missions
Fairfield Glade United Methodist Church
The first meeting of the Crafters was held on January 26, 2010.  The
standing committees were decided upon, as well as the disbursement
of the proceeds from the 2009 crafters sales.

The Crafters allocated $13,000.00 for various missions including
Amerasian Children’s Fund, Stepping Out Fund, FGUMC Scholarship
Fund, Halo Fund, Helping Hands, Hilltoppers, School Depot, Bread of
Life, SMILE, United Methodist Women, Wags & Whiskers, Plateau
Pregnancy and Schools (Pineview, Crab Orchard, Pleasant Hill).
Crafters, using hands and hearts, help make the world a loving place.

We would love to have some new ladies in our group.  Remember,
anyone who likes to do crafts, whether she attends this church or not,
is most welcome.  Come Join us for a wonderful time of fellowship and
service.  We meet every Tuesday in Fellowship Hall making craft items
for our annual sale in October each year.  You do not have to be a
member of the church to attend. Friends and neighbors are most
welcome.

In 2006, the crafters made about $1,000 from the spring craft sale at
the Village Green Mall in Fairfield Glade.  It was decided to donate
$200 to the church youth group to be added to the proceeds from their
spaghetti dinner.  These proceeds were raised to benefit the Kynette
United Methodist Church in Sparta which was heavily damaged by
arson in July 2005.  In 2006 we donated about $11,403, made from our
recent sale to various mission projects mostly in Cumberland County.

We meet every Tuesday in Fellowship Hall making craft items for our
annual sale in October each year.
