5th Sunday dinners
As a community of faith, we have been given the company of one another to strengthen our faith and to fellowship together. In an effort to strengthen the sense of
community within our congregation, the Fellowship Ministry Team sponsors fellowship dinners on each of the 5th Sundays of the months in 2010. Those Sundays
for 2010 are January 31, May 30, August 29 and October 31. Everyone is invited!
Annual Wayne Benson Memorial Golf Tournament
The 6th Annual Wayne Benson Memorial Golf Tournament was held on Saturday, May 10th, at Dorchester Golf Course. Avalon Center and Bread of Life were our
mission recipients last year. Your support and participation were appreciated...and thank you for joining us for good fellowship, lots of fun and the knowledge that
your donation will help support these worthy charities. Take a look at us at WBMGT.
Koininia Partners
Koininia Partners is a fellowship program that was started as a Social Concerns arm of the church 17 years ago. It is now sponsored by the Missions Committee
and it offers an opportunity for new members to become acquainted with other members of the church. Four couples meet quarterly in January, April, July and
October in a Host couple's home for a potluck dinner. The Host couple furnishes the entree, beverage and bread, with the rest of the meal being assigned to the
other 3 couples. New members are contacted by phone to determine interest. Couples, new or "experienced," and singles are invited to participate. For more
information please call June and Larry Frazier, 484-5914.
Christmas Dinner
Christmas Dinner – begun in the home of Bill and Betty Johnson (a long time ago) for persons who could not travel “home” to be with family; it eventually outgrew
their home and has since met at the church. It is the ultimate potluck, in that turkeys and hams are provided and all other food is furnished by persons coming to
the dinner. It is a wonderful time of fellowship together.
