Library Goals and Policies
Fairfield Glade United Methodist Church
The Resource Library of the Fairfield Glade UMC was organized for the purpose of providing books, other teaching materials, and
life enrichment for members of the congregation, its auxiliaries, and the community.
The goals of the library are:
- to stimulate growth in religious knowledge.
- to organize the library so that it will be able to provide prompt and satisfactory service.
- to foster a pleasant, attractive, inviting atmosphere in the library area.
- to encourage volunteers to serve and to learn good library procedures.
- to develop a variety of means for publicizing the services and needs of the library.
- to select the best books and other materials to serve the needs of our congregation and
community.

Policies:
- Gifts of books will be accepted only with the approval of the Library Committee. Because of limited space, donations or
other materials will be accepted at the discretion of the Library Committee. Monetary gifts are accepted for the purchase of
books.
- The Library Committee determines specific rules and guidelines for operating the library.
