Music Program
Fairfield Glade United Methodist Church
Our purpose is to enrich our church with music, adding another dimension to the worship experience of services. But we also
share our music with the community through our different programs as an outreach to others.

Choir
Two choirs participate in worship during the 8:30 and the 11 a.m. Sunday morning services.  Rehearsal is on Wednesday
evenings September through May.  New voices are always welcome.  If you are interested in participating, you may
contact
our Music director.

The Gospel Truth
This is a smaller group of musicians who use a more contemporary style of music. It uses guitars, drums, and keyboards to set
the "tone" for the service.  This group encourages more spontaneous involvement for the attendees. It also is frequently
asked to have "hymn-sings" for special events in the church.

Handbell Choir
Two handbell choirs meet during the Autumn and Spring.  The Spirit Ringers perform each Christmas in area nursing homes
and other outings.  The Westchester Chimes participate in worship services. The Spirit Ringers visit area nursing homes and
assisted living facilities twice yearly with programs and treats.

Music Concert Series
This series was established to bring special programs to our community. The concerts are scheduled for Sunday afternoons,
allowing members of the other churches and residents to attend. The largest program of the series is our presentation of The
Messiah by Handel. We open it to the community choirs and usually have a combined choir of 60 plus singers. We also have
an ensemble from TTU in Cookeville to accompany the program. It has been very successful and is always anticipated by the
entire community. Our series is supported by "thank" offerings.
