New Books in the Library
Fairfield Glade United Methodist Church
New books are available for your reading and enjoyment. Be sure and check out the complete listing on the desk in the library.
New books can be found on a separate cart which is in the hall outside the library during worship services on Sunday.

Also please take a few minutes to read the book reviews in The Connection and this website for suggestions of books people
have enjoyed reading.

If you are looking for seasonal reading, there is a special listing of Christmas books on the desk in the library.

by Jason Berggren
The author explores the stumbling blocks to his faith and how he was able to overcome them.

Always Looking Up    
by Michael J. Fox
Michael Fox’s struggle with Parkinson’s disease forced him to change the focus of his life and this book chronicles his journey.

Three Simple Rules:  A Wesleyan Way of Living   
by Reuben Job
Bishop Job explores John Wesley’s General Rules of “do no harm, do good, stay in love with God”.  The reader will be given
insight into developing a deeper sense of mutual respect, unity and a relationship with God. (non-fiction)




Fiction


Finding God in the Shack
by Roger E. Olson
Roger Olson is a professor of theology and identified with the “great sadness” in The Shack.  In this book, he explores the
controversial issues which were raised in The Shack and the scriptural relationship of the ideas presented both pro and con.

by Debbie Macomber
Lydia begins a new weekly self-help class at her A Good Yarn Shop. As in her previous books,  Macomber details the lives and
struggles of the individuals in this class.

When Crickets Cry
Charles Martin

town.  Together they find themselves on the path of healing.

The library has recently set aside a separate shelf for large print books. This includes Fiction and Non-Fiction. We have
a few. If you would like to contribute any, please call Kay Suttles or Becky Shovlin or leave them in the library with your
name and phone #. As always, if we cannot use the books we will call you.
